Looking for a fun way to keep your kids entertained, no matter the weather? Northwest Michigan offers a variety of indoor water parks and pools where your little ones can splash, swim, and play all year round! Whether you're seeking a thrilling waterpark adventure or a more relaxed swim at a community pool, there’s something for every family.


Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark (Boyne Falls, Charlevoix County)

Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark Hotel is located in Boyne Falls, Michigan, 14 miles south of Petoskey, Michigan. The park is located within the Boyne Mountain Resort property, and features 88,000 square of rides and slides and four activity pools.


Cadillac Area YMCA (Cadillac, Wexford County)

The Cadillac Area YMCA provides recreational and specialty aquatics programs for all ages and abilities, including Parent-Child Classes, Water Exercise, Advanced Swimming, Water Safety, and Rescue Classes.


Charlevoix Area Community Pool (Charlevoix, Charlevoix County)

The Charlevoix Area Community Pool provides a wide range of aquatic programs promoting health, fitness, recreation and water safety for children and adults.


Crystal Mountain (Thompsonville, Benzie County)

Guests visiting Crystal Mountain for the day can purchase a Peak Pass to access their indoor pool, which offers a family play area, separate lap lanes and a hot tub. Passes are $20 per person, kids 3 and under are free with a paying adult.


Delamar (Traverse City, Grand Traverse County)

Purchase a day pass at the Delamar and have access to all guest amenities, including their year-round outdoor heated pool and indoor poor, whirlpool hot tub, and sauna.

Grand Traverse Bay YMCA (Multiple Locations)

Grand Traverse Bay YMCA has three locations in Traverse City (West, Central and South) and one in Petoskey (YMCA of Northern Michigan). Their indoor pools have open swim times, programs and swim lessons available for members and non-members.


Great Wolf Lodge (Traverse City, Grand Traverse County)

Full day and half day passes are available for purchase, which includes access to the indoor water park, the lineup of daily events, onsite dining options and life jackets and towels.


Harbor Springs Community Pool (Harbor Springs, Emmet County)

The 6 lane competition Community Pool, situated along the Bluff, overlooks the beautiful bay of Lake Michigan and features a hot tub spa as well. Patrons can enjoy a wide variety of scheduling including dedicated hours for lap swim and recreational swim.


Paine Aquatic Center (Manistee, Manistee County)

The Pain Aquatic Center is a multi-use, community pool for people of all ages, featuring an 8-lane pool for instructional, competitive and recreational programs.
